Christmas Concert 2011

It was all very festive in Maugherow parish hall last night. Our school put on a splendid show for Christmas. A packed program saw all of the children participate in four productions.

Junior and senior infants enchanted the room with their version of “We Three Kings.”

First and second class brought us the excellent “What can we bring Him?”

Third and fourth class got the place moving with “Hosanna Rock.”

Fifth and sixth class added a touch of slapstick with “The Gingerbread Girl.”

Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to get everything “alright on the night”. Thanks also to the Walsh family for their help with the hall especially Joseph who was at our beck and call for weeks! Thanks to Alan and Vera who came to our aid on sound.

Thanks to everyone who donated or baked for the raffle and sold tickets on the night. Small schools suffered a savage attack in the recent Budget and it is heartening for us to see the depth of support that our school enjoys in the community.

We want to wish you all a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and all best wishes for the New Year.

School closes on Thursday 23rd of December and reopens Monday 9th January 2012.
